Supply of Blankets in A/C Coaches – Indian Railways

At the start of the journey of every reserved passenger in A/C coaches, they are provided with fresh blankets (rug).
When there is a change of passenger mid-way (on the same berth no.) the new passenger has to use the same blanket left by the previous passenger, as there is no replacement of blanket. It is an unhygienic practice and can also spread diseases causing an epidemic. Indian Railways being one of the largest networks, this unhygienic practice can have adverse effects if left unattended and the lack of awareness is alarming.
