There is lot of awareness about ISI mark, which denotes the quality of the product, but ideally this mark along with best before tag completes the quality definition of a product.
Best before tag is not standardized. Thus every company has its own way of representation as shown in the picture. Best before tag and date of manufacture are printed in two different positions of the product label and needs to be searched from tip to toe. There is dire need for a symbol icon for best before tags similar to ISI which would create the required awareness.
