Talcum powder is the most accepted commercial product in both – rural India as well as urban India. But is has a lot of design issues while its application by masses, which proves the bad design of its packaging.
Few major problems observed:
- Usually applied using hands, after which layer of powder settles on the hand
- Difficulty in applying on the back of the body
- Little amount of powder spills on ground while applying
- Even on the free fall of the powder container, some of the powder spills on ground which needs cleaning
- Powder on ground may make it slippery surface & can be responsible for accidents, may be severe sometimes.
Problems discussed above are best tried to be depicted from the pictures shown below. This proves the immediate need of change of its packaging and application method(s).
