"I am glad that my entry was ranked among Top 10. Efforts taken by UMO to organise such competitions are worth speaking. This years theme ""Sustainable design"" is the need of the hour and UMO has built the right platform to spread awareness about this by such a splendid medium. The number of entries itself speaks out that those many number of people will definitely spread the word in another thousand number. A big leap towards this global issue will arise only by such efforts at individual level. I would add a line to the UMO's theme. " Lest make the world green, Lets live in a greener world"

UMO is doing a great job for encouraging design student and professionals to recognize the bad designs around them and try to improve them. I'm extremely glad that my entry for boycott bad design contest-09 made it to the top ten list. Sincere thanks to the jury and the organizing committee. I truly appreciate the unique initiative and the enormous effort from Usability Matters.org. to create awareness about ill-effects of bad-design and the damage bad-design causes to the environment. One step taken,there is also crucial need to prevent the usage of such designs. I think the bad-design concepts need to be showcased before governing bodies(central & state) so that the corrective action can be worked upon.
