The design of Indian trucks is erroneous and accident prone because of the heightened driver seat and invisibility of road till 3 feet away from front side from driver.
The height of road fromdriver’s seat is approx 8.5 Feet and the vehicles which might take a turn orpass by close to the truck run on 4.5 Feet are almost invisible to the driverwhile in speed and hence can result in accidents.
The proposed improved designsays that the driver seat should be at a lowered height and an attempt shouldme made to change the opaque part of front of the truck into transparent andhence visibility can be gained from it to avoid severe road accidents
