The first address was by Kaladhar Bapu, UX consultant for Microsoft India and founder-member of UMO, highlighting the philosophy behind the UMO-WUD and the synergies involved in creating the design awareness initiatives.

Dr.Neeraj Raj started the conference with a captivating presentation on a learning portal for training medical teams. It was amazing to hear someone who was indeed a doctor but chose to use technology to build online training. The ease with which he lisped out medical terms and how they need to be taught was sufficient to indicate that a strong domain expertise is a big plus when it comes to designing for a context.

Poosapati Parameshwar Raju's calligraphic works caught the audience spellbound. He elaborated the 9 squares grid and how things could be made more aestheitcally pleasing by ensuring the design conformed to the grid structure. He demonstrated this using a number of examples.
