The first address was by Kaladhar Bapu, UX consultant for Microsoft India and founder-member of UMO, highlighting the philosophy behind the UMO-WUD and the synergies involved in creating the design awareness initiatives.

Dr.Neeraj Raj started the conference with a captivating presentation on a learning portal for training medical teams. It was amazing to hear someone who was indeed a doctor but chose to use technology to build online training. The ease with which he lisped out medical terms and how they need to be taught was sufficient to indicate that a strong domain expertise is a big plus when it comes to designing for a context.
Poosapati Parameshwar Raju's calligraphic works caught the audience spellbound. He elaborated the 9 squares grid and how things could be made more aestheitcally pleasing by ensuring the design conformed to the grid structure. He demonstrated this using a number of examples.
Prof.Aniruddha Joshi dwelled on the integration of UCD process with SDLC models. He felt the need to use usability measurement techniques and metrics to substantiate design.
Dr.Anil Jampala showcased the achievements of the 108 ambulance service initiated statewide by EMRI.
R.V.V Prasad presented about a low cost medical facility to rural villages, bringing the urban expertise to rural villages with the help of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Mr. Parameswaran presentation dealt with possible approaches and measures to ensure design research, user research initiatives deliver on the promises of the power of research, and to ensure the business ultimately sees the 'value for money'.
Sammeer Chabukswar discussed about the challenges of institutionlizing usability and how to overcome the same in an organisation.
