Education plays a vital role in the development of an active citizenry of a nation. A well educated population is able to take charge of the many issues facing society, including social problems and political decisions, rather than sitting by the sidelines and allowing someone else to do deciding for them.
Design in essence is a message, it is a medium through which designers and businesses communicate how a new product and service will make our lives both easier and exciting. We the design community should take the ownership of educating the users and consumers of products and services through better design. So much so that peripherals like communication design and information design around these products and services gets quite crucial in informing and educating users about them.
UMO encourages all enthusiasts to highlight adverse effects of bad information design every where around us. Please bring in real life issues ranging from a piece of ticket (any ticket), forms/e-forms to labels & product packaging, medicine packaging/ labels, product manuals, movie posters, government notices, news papers, magazines, information systems, maps, signage, webpages and many others that we encounter in our day to day use.

Improper design of the website makes the navigation difficult for the user. The font size is very bad. Also, the color and the layout of the text makes a visitor struggle to find any information like movie reviews which is presented in very small box toward left side bottom.
Usage of china phones is dangerous to our brains. It is not provided with anti radiation chip at the receiver side which affects the membrane of brain. So, Chinese mobiles are very dangerous for speaking directly without using built in speaker or headset.
The control panel on the stove is confusing. Also, it is difficult for a user to map the control knob to its respective burner.
These are the refills that fit for parker pens. These refills are not transparent so we can’t know the level of ink in the refill which will help us to get a new refill before hand.
The above images shows the different images we are using made of plaster of Paris. We are facing so many problems due to the use of plaster of Paris.
The expiry date of tablets is not visible to all people due to its small font size in printing. So, most of the people can't see immediately the expiry date which may lead to health hazards.
The city buses are essential need of the daily commuters. Lakhs of people travel daily as it is the cheap and reliable Government service.
Here I want to discuss all those watches that keep on working except when the battery does not work. So, the battery is wasted even we do not use the watch .i.e. user is not wearing. The watch should be such designed that it works only when it comes to contact to human hand.
