Electric spike board

The technology is increasing day by day and people are relying more on electrical energy. But in one or the other way we are forced to use an extension cord or spike board for one or other mode of utility in our house/office/hostel. When we get into a rented house the situation is obvious what can you do in that situation?
The present day spike board has the following problems
- Length of extension of wire is limited.
- Angle of electric plug in socket is fixed
- Can't keep two or more plugs of various equipments (exactly opposite or adjacent) due to lack of space given by the manufacturer.
- Only one fuse is provided.
- Current withstanding capability is limited.
- Cheap wiring used which gets heated very fast.
