Trees on Footpath

Ritwik Das, Kolkata

If there are big trees in the middle of the footpath every 10 steps then it is very difficult to keep walking on the footpath. As a natural phenomenon of the human psychology if a man keeps finding trees and plants every few steps on the pavement then he is sure to leave the footpath soon and will start walking on the edge of the road. Now as the no. of pedestrians increase on the road it becomes more difficult for the drivers to drive who constantly have to avoid the pedestrians and in this way the place becomes prone to accidents.

Remedy:
Trees should not be present in the middle of the footpath. But they should be planted elsewhere where it doesn't create any hindrance to the normal human life. So instead of deforesting and then planting them on the footpath it is better to leave them in places where they won't cause any trouble.
